Professional Development that Sinks In

The Background

Mortgage professionals work in every community across Canada.  The mortgage industry is undergoing rapid change and those working in the sector face ever increasing regulatory requirements.

The Challenge

Many Mortgage Professionals independently employed or working in smaller firms and do not have access to corporate training programs in order to meet their continuing education needs.  The Canadian Association of Accredited Mortgage Professionals requires that they complete 12 CE credits every year.

The Solution

In partnership with five sponsoring organizations, BCN.tv produced the first ever Mortgage Forum broadcast in February 2010.  Offered in 11 locations across Canada, the Mortgage Forum attracted an audience of around 700.  Expert panelists ranged from CEOs of mortgage firms to mortgage fraud specialists.  Off-air local break-out groups allowed participants to feel part of the action.  In the on-line evaluation, 99% of respondents indicated they would attend a similar event again.
